BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Alan Zinter hit a three-run homer and Burt Hunter and Frank Jacobs each drove in two runs to lead the Binghamton Mets over the Bowie Baysox, 7-2, in a Double-A Eastern League game last night.

The Baysox scored twice in the top of first on a sacrifice fly by T. R. Lewis and a run-scoring single by Brent Miller, but Binghamton rallied with four runs in the bottom half of the inning, highlighted by home runs by Hunter and Jacobs.

The Mets added three in the bottom of the eighth on Zinter home run. Bowie managed only three hits and the final 17 Baysox hitters were retired.
