It's not a bird, but a loud plane -- so report it CENTRAL COUNTY -- Arnold * Broadneck * Severna Park * Crownsville * Millersville

NEIGHBORS

July 22, 1993|By JONI GUHNE

If you live in Greater Severna Park, Severn or Glen Burnie, you may feel as I do, that there is a giant arrow on top of your house directing incoming flights toward Baltimore-Washington International Airport.

How else can you explain the number of descending airplanes that -- at 30-second intervals -- thunder across your neighborhood around 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.?

And now, Gov. William Donald Schaefer is working to create an airport authority to promote and expand BWI operations.

In an effort to cooperate with the federal and state aviation administrations, the Greater Severna Park Council reminds everyone that there is a phone number for reporting loud and low aircraft.

The BWI Aircraft Noise Hot Line: 859-7021.

Call quickly and be accurate.

Ryan was praised for providing monthly meetings where students and faculty can discuss topics related to construction, and for supporting college-level architectural, construction and construction management programs.
