Doll and teddy bear show is scheduled for Aug. 7

The Seventh Annual Doll and Teddy Bear Show and Sale at Historic Savage Mill will take place from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 7.

Collectors and enthusiasts from the mid-Atlantic area will have their antique and handmade dolls, teddy bears, toys, clothes and accessories on display for sale in the air-conditioned, renovated New Weave Building.

Annette Baker will appraise dolls. She can give information about the age, origin and general value of the dolls.

Bearing Gifts, which carries hundreds of Steiff Teddy Bears, other stuffed animals and collectibles, will have a raffle featuring special bear prizes.

* Jessup: 7500 block of Route 1: A rented Chevrolet Cavalier was stolen Wednesday night. The keys had been reported stolen, police said.

* Savage: 8500 block of Fair Street: A $650 black and yellow men's 21-speed mountain bike was stolen Thursday afternoon. The bike had been chained to another bike, which was not taken, police said.
