ABERDEEN — Police arrest 3 men on marijuana charges

ABERDEEN -- Two Aberdeen brothers were arrested in a Thursday raid by the Harford County Joint Narcotics Task Force at their home in the first block of Swan St.

John Albert Griffey, 31, and Shelby Lee Griffey, 30, were charged with conspiracy to distribute marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance. John Griffey was held at the Detention Center in lieu of a $25,000 bond. Shelby Griffey was released on his own recognizance.

A third man, Michael Dwayne Smith, 29, from the same block was not at home at the time of the raid, but was arrested Friday on similar charges. He was jailed in lieu of a $25,000 bond.

Police seized about a half-ounce of marijuana worth $100 and a sawed-off shotgun.

$1,000 reward offered in break-in, theft

PYLESVILLE

PYLESVILLE -- Harford County Crime Solvers is offering a reward up

to $1,000 for the arrest and indictment of whoever broke into a residence Monday in the 5200 block of Onion Road.

Police said entry was gained through a back door from a deck. Once inside, suspects ransacked bedrooms and stole jewelry and cash.

A television set and videocassette recorder were taken from the family room.

Anyone with information about the incident should call the Crime Solvers hot line at (410) 877-STOP. Callers need not give their names or appear in court.

Police seek suspects in Havre de Grace theft

HAVRE DE GRACE

HAVRE DE GRACE -- Police are searching for suspects who broke into the China Kitchen in the 1000 block of Pulaski Highway sometime Tuesday night and stole $46.

The damage value is incomplete as the investigation continues.

1400 block of Dalmation Place: Theft of a Corvette top on Jun 29. Damage to the lock, paint and ignition. Loss valued at $3,350.

2800 block of Level Road: Damage to elementary school windows on June 29. Loss valued at $300.

Forest Hill

2600 block of Sandy Hook Road: Breaking and entering at residence on June 29. Theft of jewelry and money and damage to a door. Loss valued at $2,159.

Joppa

1600 block of Manchester Road: Theft of shotguns and watchefrom residence on June 25. Loss valued at $2,350.
