LEXINGTON, KY. — LEXINGTON, Ky.--NBC, which has televised all nine Breeders' Cup events since their inception in 1984, has agreed to carry the races through 1999.
A new five-year contract, announced Thursday, will take effect at the end of the current contract, which expires after the 1994 event. Under the agreement, NBC will continue to telecast live all seven races of the $10 million championship day.
