* BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Two men were arrested by police after they were seen stealing a stained-glass window from a home in the 2700 block of Hugo St. at noon Tuesday. A witness took down the license tag and called police.

* BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone broke into the basement of a home in the 1300 block of W. Strathmore Ave. between 9:30 a.m. and 1:05 p.m. Tuesday and stole jewelry and checks. The value of the loss was not determined.

* ROBBERY: Central District -- A woman was walking in the 1200 block of W. Bolton St. at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday when an unarmed man approached her and used threats to demand jewelry. The man took $1,280 worth of jewelry from her.

* ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- An unarmed man went into Marinelli's Bakery in the 300 block of S. Central Ave. and robbed the shopkeeper of $17 at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday.

* ROBBERY: Northern District -- A passenger in a Royal Cab pulled a gun on the driver while they were in the 2500 block of W. Cold Spring Lane at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday and demanded cash. He escaped with $15.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone kicked in the front door panel of Barclay Elementary School, in the 2900 block of Barclay St., at 11 p.m. Monday and took items from the school. The amount of the loss has not been determined.

* ARSON: Northern District -- Someone entered a home in the 2600 block of Maryland Ave. at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, poured a flammable liquid on the floor and started a fire. The fire was on the first floor of the home. Damage was undetermined.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone forced open the front door to a home in the first block of E. 33rd St. between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday and stole a compact disc player and a video camera. The loss was $500.

* ROBBERY: Northern District -- Two men approached a man on a bicycle in the 3000 block of Independence St. at 4:35 p.m. Monday. One of the assailants punched the bicycle rider in the face, knocking him off the bike. They stole the bicycle, valued at $160.

* BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone broke into a home in the 900 block of Saratoga St. sometime between July 1 and Monday, and took a stereo and two fans. The loss was $230.

* BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone used a wire-cutter to cut through a fence at the Jiffy Hitch Trailer & Supply Co. in the 2100 block of Monroe St. between 5 p.m. Monday and 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. The bandit drove off with one of the company's trailers.

* BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a home in the 200 block of Calhoun St. between 8:15 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Monday and stole various items with a total value of $340.

* ROBBERY: Western District -- A man was in the Mondawmin Mall when he was robbed of $4 by a gunman at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday.

* ASSAULT: Western District -- A woman was struck in the face with a .25-caliber handgun in her home in the 1700 block of N. Calhoun St. at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday. The woman sustained a gash to the eye.

* ROBBERY: Eastern District -- Two men riding in a car brushed a pedestrian with their vehicle, got out of the auto, and took a videocassette player the 35-year-old victim was carrying. The incident occurred in the 1000 block of E. Chase St. at 1:44 p.m. yesterday.

* ROBBERY: Eastern District -- An unarmed man reached into the pocket of a man in the 2200 block of E. Monument Ave. at 9 a.m. Tuesday and took $140 in cash.

* SHOOTING: Eastern District -- A 22-year-old man was in the 1400 block of Caroline St. when he was approached by a gunman, who shot him in the leg. The victim was treated at the Good Samaritan Hospital.

* SHOOTING: Southwestern District -- A man was in the 3300 block of Windsor Ave. at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday when a gunman shot him in the leg and took $120 in cash and a watch from him. The victim was treated at a nearby hospital.


* BURGLARY: Cockeysville District -- Someone broke into a home in the 2300 block of Raven View Road in Timonium through a rear door sometime between Monday and Tuesday and stole a checkbook.
