ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Two men, one of them armed with a handgun, approached a man in the 1200 block of Rossiter Ave. at 4 p.m. Tuesday and demanded money. The gunman shot the victim in the leg, and the two bandits fled.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A gunman approached a man in the 3500 block of Garrison Ave. at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday and pointed the handgun at him. The victim surrendered $50.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone broke the lock of a garage in the 3400 block of Bancroft Road between 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and took $200 worth of property.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- Someone opened a locker at a community center in the 5700 block of Park Heights Ave. between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and took a wallet.

THEFT: Central District -- A tourist from Connecticut was at the All-Star activities near the Camden Yards baseball stadium, in the 400 block of Camden St., at 9 p.m. Tuesday when he put his bag down and walked away. When he returned, the bag was gone.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- A man walked up to an elderly woman in the 2700 block of Foster Ave. at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, beat her up, and snatched her purse containing $60.

SHOOTING: Northern District -- A man was approached by a gunman in the 900 block of E. 43rd St. at 9:14 p.m. Monday and shot in the stomach. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and the suspect is unknown to police.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A gunman pointed a semiautomatic weapon at a clerk at Paul's Stadium Lounge in the 3300 block of Greenmount Ave. and took $902 from the cash register. The robbery occurred at 9:30 p.m. Monday.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A man pointed a gun at a 60-year-old woman in the unit block of Bythewood Road at 10:15 p.m. Monday and took the victim's wedding ring, a diamond ring and wallet. The amount of the loss has not been determined.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone cut a window screen and entered a home in the 2600 block of Hampden Ave. at about 9:30 p.m. Monday and stole a JVC videocassette player, a Nikon camera and four watches. The loss was $900.

RAPE: Northern District -- A man grabbed a woman by the neck in the 400 block of E. 31st St. at 4:20 a.m. Tuesday and dragged her into a nearby alley. The assailant hit her in the forehead with a bottle and forced her to have sex with him.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Two men entered Video Americain, in the 400 block of W. Cold Spring Lane, at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. One of them pointed a handgun at the clerk while the other took an undetermined amount of money from the cash register.

ASSAULT: Western District -- A woman was in the 100 block of Wheeler Ave. at 11:15 p.m. Monday when a man cut her with a knife in the arm and leg.

ASSAULT: Western District -- A man struck a woman with a wooden board, causing injuries to her neck and chest during an incident in the 1100 block of N. Fulton Ave. at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A gunman entered Swartz and Sons Distributors Inc., in the 1300 block of W. Lanvale St. at 12:25 p.m. Tuesday, pointed a handgun at the clerk and escaped with $500 in cash.

ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A man reported to police yesterday that he was robbed of $300 at 4 p.m. on Sunday by a gunman DTC who approached him in the 2000 block of E. Monument St.

ATTEMPT ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A man tried to grab a necklace from a 59-year-old woman in the 800 block of Broadway at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. The woman was able to fend off the assailant and was not injured.

ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A man entered a grocery store in the 1800 block of Guilford Ave. at 10:40 Tuesday morning and used a gun to hold up a clerk. The exact amount of loss was not determined, but it was estimated at $2,000.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone broke into the basement of the Baltimore Faith Church of the Nazarene in the 2000 block of Frederick Road between 2 p.m. Monday and 7:30 a.m. Tuesday and took several food items.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A gunman robbed a man of $20 in the 500 block of N. Franklintown Road at 11:05 p.m. Monday.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone forced open the front door to a home in the unit block of Woodington Road between 8:35 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday and took several items with a total value of $2,549.

Baltimore County

ARREST: Essex District -- Lester Edwards, 22, of the 100 block of Bledsoe Circle, was arrested Tuesday and charged with attempted robbery, possession of a deadly weapon with intent to injure, assault and battery for threatening a woman Monday and Tuesday. Police said Mr. Edwards entered the victim's home without permission Monday, pointed a handgun at the victim's baby and demanded $40. He said he would return to collect the money. Police said Mr. Edwards saw the woman near her home Tuesday and threatened her again.

THEFT: Parkville District -- Someone broke into a car in the 8700 block of School Road and took a stereo, compact disc player, amplifier and speakers, valued at $2,000.

BURGLARY: Towson District -- Someone entered a home in the 6300 block of Boxwood Lane through an unlocked door. The burglar took silverware and other items. The amount of loss is not known.
