2 Baltimore men slain woman's body found

Two city men were shot to death in separate incidents Friday afternoon, city homicide detectives reported yesterday.

Vernon Chase, 29, of the 4100 block of Ridgewood Road wakilled by a blast from a sawed-off shotgun after an argument with an acquaintance in a home in the 4100 block of Groveland Ave. in Northwest Baltimore, police said.

Police were called to the house at 2:25 p.m., after neighbors saa man dragging a bloody body outside.

Arrested at the scene and charged in connection with thslaying was Joe Louis Arrington, 23, of the Groveland Ave. address.

n the second incident, a resident heard shots and called police at 3:20 p.m. to the 2800 block of West Lanvale St., where they found the body of James Brandon, 26, of the 2500 block of Linden Ave.

He had been shot twice, police said.

Police also identified a woman whose body was found Thursdaafternoon in the basement of a house in the 4500 block of Park Heights Ave.

The woman, Valerie Addison, 26, of the 3800 block of WesBelvedere Ave., was murdered, city police said.

They declined to provide more details.
