Grasonville man falls from pier during fireworks
A Grasonville man remained in critical condition yesterday after being rescued by Maryland Natural Resources Police when he fell from a pier during a fireworks display over the Annapolis harbor Sunday.
Roger M. Connor, 29, of Whitehouse Drive, "suffered suspected spinal injuries" when he fell from a pier off Winchester Drive about 10:20 p.m., police said.
Mr. Connor was taken to Anne Arundel County General Hospital before being transferred to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center about 2 a.m. yesterday.
Natural Resources Police were continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
