Bel Air's Jason Loxerman scored a late goal to give the Columbia Darby under-15 boys a 1-0 win over the Massachusetts Eagles for the U.S. Youth Soccer Region I championship yesterday at Mercer County Central Park in Mercerville, N.J.

Columbia, which won the Maryland Cup to qualify for the tournament, defeated Delaware, 4-0, New York-West, 3-0, Maine, 7-0, and New Jersey, 1-0, to reach the title game.

"A lot has been expected of us all year," Columbia coach Bill Stara said. "This is a very nice way to end our season."
