SHOOTING: Southwestern District -- A 30-year-old resident of the 2700 block of Giles Road, is listed in stable condition at the Liberty Medical Center after being shot in the groin Tuesday evening in an alley behind the 1600 block of N. Rosedale St. The victim was talking to another man about 6 p.m. when a third man approached and fired two shots, hitting the victim at least once. No arrest has been made, and police said they know of no motive.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A couple who live in the 600 block of Tunbridge Road were standing outside a telephone booth in )) the 5600 block of The Alameda Monday night when two men, one with a handgun, robbed them of cash and property, all valued at more than $400.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Four men, one with a handgun, robbed two residents of the 1100 block of Kingsbury Road of their money and property in the 500 block of Gorsuch Ave. about 10 p.m. Monday.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Two people, one a resident of the first block of Spring Court and the other from the 800 block of W. 38th St., were in the 3100 block of St. Paul St. Monday night when two men, one with a handgun, robbed them of cash and property, all valued at more than $70.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1988 Pontiac with Maryland license plates ZHT246 was stolen from the 1000 block of Marlau Drive Tuesday morning.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 2200 block of St. Paul St. Monday through a window and stole a VCR and several compact discs, all valued at more than $500.

BURGLARY/ARSON: Northern District -- After someone entered a house in the 700 block of Argonne Drive early Tuesday morning and stole a 19-inch TV, VCR and stereo equipment, all valued at nearly $1,700, the dwelling was set on fire. The blaze was quickly extinguished by firefighters.

ABDUCTION/RAPE: Northern District -- A 30-year-old Pennsylvania woman was about to drive off the parking lot at the McDonald's outlet in the 5100 block of York Road about 6 p.m. Tuesday when a man who had hidden in her car placed a knife to her neck and ordered her to keep driving. In the 500 block of W. North Ave. nearly under the Jones Falls Expressway, the man raped the woman. Several minutes later, he fled on foot. After reporting the incident to police, the woman was treated at the Mercy Medical Center and released.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered the second-floor window of a house in the 600 block of Hubner St. with a ladder Tuesday and stole a TV, telephone and a telephone answering machine, all valued at more than $200.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone entered a house in the 400 block of S. Gilmor St. Tuesday and stole property valued at nearly $300.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Property valued at nearly $250 was stolen from a house in the 1500 block of Lemmon St. Tuesday.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A resident of the 1800 block of Sutton Ave. was in the 600 block of W. Patapsco Ave. Tuesday night when he was robbed of $50 by a man with a shotgun.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A man with an unknown weapon robbed a resident of the 1600 block of Balmor Court of a watch valued at more than $130 in the 150 block of Woodyear St. Monday night.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered Our Neighborhood Store in the 1200 block of W. Lexington St. Monday and stole candy and several cartons of cigarettes, all valued at more than $100.

CHURCH BURGLARY: Western District -- Two telephones, two speakers and three microphones, all valued at nearly $350, were stolen from the Williams Tabernacle in the 700 block of N. Fremont Ave. Monday or Tuesday.

ASSAULT: Western District -- A resident of the 1400 block of N. Mount St. was in the 2200 block of Pennsylvania Ave. Monday when he was attacked by four men who struck him with a baseball bat. When the victim was running away, one of the men fired a shot that struck him in the left arm. The men escaped and the victim was taken to Maryland General Hospital.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Two telephones and a large assortment of tools, all valued at more than $2,300, were stolen from a house in the 2300 block of Koko Lane Monday by someone who entered through the front door.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: Parkville District -- A gunman robbed the Subway sandwich shop in the 7600 block of Belair Road about 9 p.m. Tuesday. After ordering food and leaving the shop, the man returned a few minutes later and ordered an employee to give him the contents of a cash register at gunpoint. The gunman escaped with more than $100.

BANK ROBBERY: White Marsh District -- An unarmed man entered the First National Bank in the 8300 block of Pulaski Highway about noon Tuesday and gave a teller a note demanding $50s, $20s and $10s and not to put a dye pack among the bills. After the teller gave the man an undisclosed sum, he escaped on foot.
