KIMBERLY McCREADY, 10, daughter of Agnes and Mike McCready of Owings Road in Westminster.

School: Graduated from fifth grade at Robert Moton Elementary School and will attend East Middle School in the fall.

Honored for: Being the county winner for the "Say No to Drugs" Poster Contest, sponsored by the Westminster Police Department.Kimberly received a trophy at the awards ceremony that honored first- through third-place winners from each elementary school in the county with plaques and ribbons June 10 at Friendship Valley Elementary School in Westminster.Kimberly's poster depicted her creation, a "drug bug."The winning posters will be on display at the Carroll County Public Library in Westminster this month.

Goals: "I want to be an artist or a professional soccer player."

She plays with the Westminster Soccer Association.

Comments: "I was thinking about a litter bug, to turn it into a drug bug instead," she said. "It's a hypodermic needle with wings and a face, and it has a skull and crossbones and an X going over the drugs, telling you not to take them because they're dangerous.

"I made it [the bug] look really mad."
