June 28, 1993

A Glen Burnie man drowned in Marley Creek Thursday, county police reported.

Timothy Neal Gary, 26, of the 1100 block of Sunnybrook Drive and two friends went swimming Thursday evening in the creek near Furnace Avenue.

At 8:46 p.m. Mr. Gary went under the water and never came back up, the police report said.

His friends told police he had just begun to swim toward one of them when he went under.

The friends did not know what caused Mr. Gary to go under.

The Dive Rescue Unit from the Fire Department recovered Mr.

Gary's body a short time later, police said.

Man, 23, accused of PCP possession

County police arrested a 23-year-old Glen Burnie man on drug charges Thursday after they found a half-ounce of PCP in a home in the 7600 block of Linda Lee Drive.

Narcotics officers said they also confiscated packaging materials when they raided the house at 9 p.m.

Ronald Fisher Jr., who lives at that address, was charged with possession with intent to distribute PCP.
