June 27, 1993|By Staff report

A Taneytown man has been charged with reckless endangerment, assault and carrying a deadly weapon with intent to injure.

The man is alleged to have pointed a loaded shotgun at a Westminster man Wednesday.

State police said Martin J. Dungan, 37, of the 200 block of Roth Ave. in Taneytown, was driving east on Route 140 in Westminster when he pointed a shotgun out the window at the car next to him.

The second car was being driven by Terrence Michael Griggs, 30, of Sullivan Road.

Police said they arrested Mr. Dungan at a house in the 600 block of Old Baltimore Road after they found his truck in the driveway with the shotgun on the front seat.

The double-barrel weapon was loaded with 20-gauge slugs, officers said.

Mr. Dungan was released Thursday after posting a $2,500 bond.
