POLICE

* Westminster: A Westminster resident told state police that someone took $35 from her purse when it was in her unlocked car about 4 a.m. Sunday.

A Westminster resident told state police that someone broke into her Arnold Road home between 11 a.m. and 12:35 p.m. Monday and took a television/videocassette recorder combination, a camera, checks and cash. The estimated loss is $875.

FIRE

* Blacks Corner: Pleasant Valley and Kingsdale and Littlestown of Adams County, Pa., responded to a dryer fire on Menges Mill Road at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday. Units were out 56 minutes.

* Reese: Reese responded to a car fire on Baltimore Boulevard at 1:28 p.m. Tuesday. Units were out for 15 minutes.

* Westminster: Westminster responded to a pole fire on Pennsylvania Avenue at 8:06 a.m. Tuesday. Units were out for 15 minutes.
