Eusini is hired by sports rehab center

Tammy A. Jacobson Eusini is the new business manager at the Carroll County Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center, 125 N. Court St., Westminster.

Mrs. Eusini is a 1989 graduate of Westminster High School and is working on her business administration degree from Empire State College.

She is the former ticket manager at Mount St. Mary's College in Emmitsburg, where she lives with her husband, William. She began work in her new position on May 3.

Krywucki wins honor at Northwest Hospital

Janet Krywucki, R.N., is the Northwest Hospital Center's nurse of the year.

The Eldersburg resident has worked at Northwest Hospital Center for 11 years in its medical-surgical unit. Before joining the hospital, Ms. Krywucki worked at Meridian Nursing Home from 1980 to 1981 as a nursing unit supervisor and as a public health nurse for the Baltimore County Health Department.

Ms. Krywucki is a graduate of the Bon Secours School of Nursing in Baltimore, where she worked for 10 years as a staff nurse and supervisor after she received her degree. She also has a bachelor of science degree from Catholic University in Washington.

In addition to her work at the hospital, she volunteers for the Carroll County Hospice program.

Development group schedules a train ride

The Professional Development Committee of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce has planned a trip on the EnterTRAINment Line for the general membership meeting at noon on July 15.

A box lunch will be served on the train, with dessert at Lehigh Portland Cement Co., a tour of the cement plant and a return trip by charter bus.

The cost is $15 a person; reservations must be made by July 12. Information: 848-9050.

Chamber slates team golf championship

The County Chamber of Commerce will conduct a team championship golf tournament at Wakefield Valley Golf Club at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 15.

Team and individual prizes will be awarded, and a permanent team trophy will be placed on display.

Registration is limited to the first 36 teams, and individual registrations are welcome. The entry fee of $100 a person ($400 a foursome) includes golf, cart, lunch, prizes, gifts, golf clinic, on-course beverages, cocktails and dinner.

Guest speaker will be former Los Angeles Lakers coach Paul Westhead, now head basketball coach at George Mason University.
