Networking Night set for business owners

The Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce is having its monthly Networking Night from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at Mailboxes Etc. in the Lake Shore Plaza, 4157 Mountain Road.

This provides an opportunity for local business owners to meet their colleagues within the community.

Admission is $6 with a reservation and $10 at the door.

* The chamber will sponsor a seminar, "Unemployment Insurance and the Employer Responsibility," from 8 a.m. to noon tomorrow in Room 403 of the Arundel Center North, 101 Crain Highway. The seminar, $15 for chamber members and $25 for nonmembers, will feature three speakers from the Maryland Department of Economic and Employment Development.

Man is charged in alcohol incident

A Glen Burnie man was arrested in Carroll County for furnishing alcohol to minors after a Sunday night incident on Deer Park Road near the Carroll-Baltimore county line.

Eric Ernest Grossman, 28, of the 100 block of N. Crain Highway, was charged with supplying the beverages to three juveniles who were found with Mr. Grossman about 2:40 p.m. Sunday, according to police records.

The three juveniles were charged with possession of alcohol, police said.
