PURSUIT/INJURED OFFICER: Southern District -- A policeman was injured about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday when his patrol car was struck by a stolen 1985 Chevrolet station wagon that was being pursued by Southwestern District officers. At the intersection of Russell and Bush streets, the driver of the stolen car lost control in the northbound lane of Russell Street and struck the police car and a traffic light standard. The driver of the stolen car bailed out and jumped over a wall and into the stream that empties into the middle branch of the Patapsco River. A search failed to find the man, who may have been injured. Officer John Dodge of the traffic investigation section said Officer Charles H. Carter, 37, was taken by ambulance to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment of pain and released.

STOLEN CAR: Northeastern District -- A 1990 Dodge with Maryland dealer license plates 1A47736 was stolen from B&B Motors in the 600 block of E. 25th St. Monday.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A VCR valued at $300 was stolen from a house in the 5200 block of Saybrook Ave. Monday by someone who entered through a rear door.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Someone entered a storage shed in the 1700 block of Hartsdale Drive Monday and stole a lawn mower and weed cutter, all valued at nearly $400.

STOLEN CAR: Northeastern District -- A 1986 Chevrolet Nova with Maryland license plates ZKX610 was stolen from the 6800 block of Sturbridge Drive Monday.

THEFT FROM AUTO: Central District -- Property valued at more than $5,000 was stolen from a car owned by the health care division of the Marriott Corp. in the 9100 block Baltimore National Pike in Ellicott City, Howard County, while the vehicle was parked in the 500 block of E. Pratt St. Tuesday. Taken were a lap-top computer, a laser printer, two tape recorders, a radar detector, a brief case and other items.

SHOOTING: Western District -- A resident of the 3200 block of Dorchester Road was in the first block of N. Stricker St. Monday night when he felt a stinging pain in his right leg. The man was taken to Bon Secours Hospital, where he was treated for a gunshot wound and released. No arrest had been made and police said they knew of no motive for the shooting.

ROBBERY: Western District -- An unlicensed taxicab driver was in the 1900 block of Walbrook Ave. about 5 p.m. Tuesday when two men, one with a handgun, forced him out of his 1991 Buick and drove off. The car, with Maryland license plates, 564AJW, had not been recovered.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 2300 block of Whittier Ave. was robbed of stereo equipment valued at more than $200 Tuesday by a gunman and a woman who also abducted the victim before freeing her unharmed not far from her home.

THEFT: Western District -- Property valued at $500 was stolen from a car in the 900 block of Mulberry St. Monday.

CHURCH BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered the Enon Baptist Church inthe 600 block of N. Schroeder St. Monday afternoon by removing a security bar and opening a window. It was not known if any property was taken.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 2600 block of St. Paul St. Monday through a first-floor window and stole an air conditioner valued at $300.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A compact disc player and several blank VCR tapes were stolen from a house in the first block of W. Highfield Road Monday by someone who entered through a bedroom window.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A camera and whiskey, all valued at more than $100, were stolen from a house in the 200 block of Homewood Terrace Monday or Tuesday by someone who entered through a side window.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1982 Cadillac with Maryland license plates YJR528 was stolen Tuesday morning from the 5100 block of Cordova Ave.

ABDUCTION/ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 4400 block of LaPlata Ave. reported she was abducted from the 4700 block of Greenspring Ave. Saturday by two men, one with a handgun, who drove her to Washington, where she was robbed of cash and jewelry, all valued at nearly $1,300. The woman told police she and the men stayed in the D.C. area until Sunday, when they drove her back to Baltimore and set her free.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 5300 block of Nelson Ave. was in the 3900 block of Hayward Ave. Monday night when a man struck him in the face with a handgun and robbed him of $75.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- An employee of Triple C wholesalers and confectioners in the 2700 block of Loch Raven Road was working in his company-owned van in an alley behind the 3500 block of Park Heights Ave. Tuesday afternoon when a gunman forced him from the vehicle and drove off.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 3700 block of W. Belvedere Ave. was riding his bike in the 3900 block of Lewiston Ave. Tuesday night when a man pushed him off the bike and stole it.
