Joppa woman, 22, hurt when car hits two trees on Green Mountain Circle

A 22-year-old Joppa woman was seriously injured after her car struck two trees in Wilde Lake Saturday night, Howard County police said.

Dora Jeannette Hiller, of the 100 block of Philadelphia Road, was taken by ambulance to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where she was listed in fair and stable condition, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Ms. Hiller was northbound at 6:30 p.m. on Green Mountain Circle, just south of Twin Rivers Road, when her 1982 Toyota Corolla crossed the southbound lane and struck a tree, police said. The vehicle continued to travel, and struck a second tree before coming to a stop.

Police said they are still investigating the accident.
