Suns lose to Phillies, 7-4, extend skid to 8

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- The Hagerstown Suns' losing streak reached eight last night as they fell to the Spartanburg Phillies, 7-4, in a Single-A South Atlantic League Northern Division game.

The Suns (32-35) trailed 3-1 after two innings on a two-run double by Steve Solomon. Hagerstown tied the game in the third when Santiago Henry doubled and later scored on a passed ball.

Spartanburg's Alan Burns hit his seventh home run in the third for a 4-3 lead. Stan Evans went 3-for-5 with an RBI for the Phillies. Kris Harms went 2-for-4 for Hagerstown.
