Arthur Slade Regional Catholic School was one of eight schools in Maryland to collect more than $1 million in Giant Food Inc. register receipts for the 1992-93 school year.

A Giant spokesman said the school, which goes up to eighth grade, was the only one in Anne Arundel County to collect so many receipts in the "Apples for the Students" program. Schools can get computer equipment for the receipts.

The school collected $1,002,112 in receipts. Other schools that topped the $1 million mark were in Baltimore, Howard, Montgomery and Prince George's counties.
