POLICE LOG

* Elkridge: 9600 block of Baltimore Ave.: Someone attempted to loot a 1993 Chevy between 5:45 p.m. Friday and 9:45 a.m. Saturday. The would-be thief attempted to enter the car with a slim jim but managed only to damage the driver's side window.

* Ellicott City: 13200 block of Triadelphia Road: Someone entered a vacant house between Sunday and Friday.

8200 block of Elberta Drive: Someone broke a windshield on a 1984 Ford Escort between 10:30 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

10200 block of Cabery Road: A basement window was removed between June 8 and June 10.

3100 block of Normandy Woods Drive: Someone broke the lock cylinder of a front door Friday night. Police arrested three Ellicott City youths, ages 14 through 17, and charged them with breaking and entering.

2700 block of Turf Valley Road: Someone forced open the door of the Turf Valley Hotel Club Gift Shop between 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday, and stole a CD player, jewelry, cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash.

8500 block of Baltimore National Pike: A yellow 1986 Ford Mustang GT was stolen between June 7 and June 9.
