Linthicum-Shipley association elects directors board, officers

The Linthicum-Shipley Improvement Association has elected a new slate of officers and board members for one-year terms.

About 55 people participated in the voice vote during the community association's meeting last week.

The group re-elected President Gerald Starr and Treasurer Bill Mueller. The association also elected Dick Vehlow, a former board member, as vice president, and Susan March, a former board member, secretary.

Former Secretary Susan Hrybyk was elected to the board of directors, with previous board members Bob Barrows, Paul DiBlasi, Tom Holland and Marge Smith. Two new members of the board are Bill Hubbard and Dave Schrock.


* Linthicum Heights: A bicycle valued at $125 was stolen from a shed behind a home in the 400 block of Jerome Ave. between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. Thursday.

* Linthicum Heights: Burglars stole a bicycle worth $150 from a shed behind a home in the 500 block of Fountain Drive between midnight and 6 a.m. Thursday.

* Brooklyn Park: Burglars took money and other property, all valued at about $700, from Dinkum's Bar in the 5800 block of Ritchie Highway Sunday night.
