The annual Crofton Fourth of July Celebration is less than a month away. This year's festivities are scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 3. The rain date is July 4. The Citizen of the Year award will be presented at the opening ceremonies. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, the Crofton Athletic Council also will present the Cardinal of the Year Award, honoring one of its volunteers. The festivities will feature rides and carnival-style games on Duke of Kent Drive, which will be closed to traffic. The midway will be on the grounds of Crofton Elementary School.

Midway booths still are available to organizations for $20. A limited number of booths with electricity will be available for $25. Call Crofton Kiwanis chairman Joe Nichols, 261-6040, or Sue Bents at Crofton Town Hall, 721-2301.
