POLICE

* Kings Contrivance: 7300 block of Eden Brook Drive: A sliding glass door was found open between 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Thursday. At least one TV, a VCR and a microwave were stolen.

9700 block of Summer Park Court: A black 1989 Chevrolet Cavalier was stolen about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday. The victim heard the car start and witnessed it being driven away. The car was later recovered at 12:30 p.m. in the 9700 block of Softwater Way.

9400 block of Clock Tower Lane: A 1992 Honda Accord that was stolen between Tuesday and Wednesday was recovered later in Prince George's County. The car was recovered before the owner realized it was stolen. Prince George's County police arrested four Hyattsville and Largo residents in connection with the theft.

* Owen Brown: 6400 block of Dobbin Road: Police officers responded to a sounding alarm about 3 a.m. Friday. They found someone had thrown a cinder block at a rear window, police said. Entry wasn't gained.

* Oakland Mills: 9300 block of Diamondback Drive: A rear door was kicked opened between 10:20 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, and stole a telephone and several CD players.
