Crawdads' 7-run 7th helps set Suns, 9-3

HAGERSTOWN -- The Hickory Crawdads scored seven run in the seventh inning en route to a 9-3 win over the Hagerstown Suns in a South Atlantic League Single-A game at Municipal Stadium last night.

The Crawdads (23-39) scored seven runs on four hits in the top of the seventh inning. Magglio Ordonez had a two-run double to put Hickory up 5-0. Hickory also scored back-to-back runs off a bases-loaded walk and a hit batter with the bases loaded.

The Suns (32-31) added two runs in the eighth as Ricky Cradle hit his fourth home run of the season, a two-run shot, to cut the deficit to 9-2.

The win is Hickory's third in the four-game series, which concludes today at 2:05.
