Senators use 12 hits to beat Baysox, 6-2

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- The Harrisburg Senators put together 12-hit attack -- 11 of which were singles -- to down the visiting Bowie Baysox last night, 6-2.

Eastern League-leading Harrisburg (43-14) took a 3-0 lead in its four-game series with the second-place Baysox (32-24).

Oreste Marrero (2-for-4) doubled to highlight a two-run fifth inning and give Harrisburg a 5-1 lead. The Senators had four one-run innings.

Winner Reid Cornelius (5-2) pitched six innings, giving up five hits, one run and two walks and striking out four. Archie Corbin earned his fifth save. Loser Kevin Ryan (3-6) went 4 1/3 innings, giving up nine hits, five runs and one walk and striking out five.
