Here's what to look for if you are traveling in the Baltimor metropolitan area this week. This list of highway projects includes only newly announced work, not continuing construction, which is extensive on several highways, including Interstate 95 and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.

New highway projects

I-95 Northbound between Routes 32 and 175 -- Expect two lanes to be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. tomorrow through Thursday for resurfacing.

North and Southbound I-83 between I-695 (Beltway) and Belfast Road -- Expect single left-lane closures between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. today through Thursday for the replacement of median guard rails.

Ramp closures to and from I-695 on Route 26 (Liberty Road) and Security Boulevard -- Expect ramp closures between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. today through Thursday. Detours will be posted.

Outer Loop I-695 between Liberty Road and Security Boulevard -- Three left lanes will be closed between 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. this morning. Two left lanes will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 1

p.m. Closures are required for overhead sign maintenance.

Westbound Security Boulevard Ramp to Southbound I-695 -- Ramp is closed for about a week. Detours are posted.

MTA route changes:

The MTA has scheduled the following bus route changes for this week. Information: 539-5000; TTY for the hearing-impaired, 539-3497.

Flag Day parade

A Flag Day parade and celebration will take place on Dolphin Street at Madison Avenue from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. today, temporarily rerouting these lines:

No. 1 -- Northbound via regular route on Carey Street to Edmondson Avenue, west on Edmondson, north on Calhoun Street, west on Riggs Avenue, then via regular route. No change southbound.

No. 21 -- Eastbound via regular route to Lafayette and Myrtle avenues, east on Lafayette, south on Eutaw Place to Dolphin Street, then via regular route. Westbound via regular route to Dolphin Street and Eutaw place, north on Eutaw Place, west on Lafayette Avenue to Myrtle Avenue, then via regular route.

Other changes

No. 51 -- Rerouting of part of this line effective immediately and continuing until further notice because of construction closing the Monroe Street ramp from northbound Russell Street. The new route: Northbound via regular route on Annapolis Road to Russell, north on Annapolis Road, west on Monroe Street to the entrance ramp from Russell Street, then via regular route. No change southbound.

Nos. 22, 35, 62 -- Effective immediately and continuing until further notice, the transit stop westbound on Madison Street between Highland Avenue and Edison Highway will be temporarily discontinued because of maintenance and repair work.
