* ARREST: Central District -- Police arrested a man Wednesday afternoon who attempted to leave Victoria's Secrets the Gallery in the 200 block of E. Pratt St. without paying for five bath robes valued at $150.

* THEFT/ARRESTS: Two men were arrested Wednesday when they attempted to leave Baines Stop, Shop & Save in the 700 block of W. North Ave. without paying for drink mixes and meat, all valued at $18.

* ASSAULT: Southwestern District -- Police were seeking a man who struck a woman with a bottle Wednesday night at her home in the 4300 block of Parkton St. during an argument over money. The woman was treated at St. Agnes Hospital for minor injuries and released.

* ASSAULT: Southwestern District -- A man struck a female resident of the 3000 block of Belmont Ave. with a gun during an argument in the woman's house Wednesday night. The man escaped. The woman refused medical treatment.

* STOLEN CAR: Southern District -- A 1991 Isuzu Trooper with Maryland license plates 474808M was stolen from the 2300 block of Hawkins Point Road between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 2:30 a.m. yesterday.

* SHOOTING: Western District -- A resident of the 1800 block of Druid Hill Ave. was in the 1100 block of N. Stockton St. Wednesday afternoon when a gunman shot him in the buttocks. The gunman escaped. The victim was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center for treatment.

* BURGLARY: Western District -- A 26-inch TV, 55 VCR tapes and a VCR, all valued at nearly $1,900, were stolen from a house in the 1400 block of Traction St. Wednesday by someone who entered through a rear door.

* ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- A gunman entered a grocery store in the 600 block of N. Curley St. Wednesday afternoon and ordered an employee to give him money from the cash register. The gunman escaped with less than $100.

* THEFT: Southeastern District -- Someone entered the cab of a truck owned by the Coca Cola Co. while it was parked in the 500 block of S. Bond St. Wednesday and stole property valued at $22.

* STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A 1986 Jeep with Maryland license plates 450147M was stolen from the 5000 block of Gwynn Oak Ave. Tuesday or Wednesday.

* ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Police were seeking a man who stole a 1985 Buick with Maryland license plates PPR701 owned by his girlfriend after he threatened her with a screwdriver during an argument at her home in the 6900 block of Glenheights Ave. Wednesday.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 5600 block of Ready Ave. Wednesday and stole a VCR valued at $200.

* THEFT: Northern District -- Lawn furniture valued at more than $600 was stolen from the front yard of a house in the 6200 block of Yorkshire Drive Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.

* STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1990 Toyota with Maryland license plates 553ALA was stolen from the 3000 block of Abell Ave. Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.


* BURGLARY: White Marsh District -- Someone entered a house in the 1000 block of Sumter Road Wednesday through the front door and ransacked several rooms looking for money or property of value. It was not immediately known if any property was stolen. The house had been unoccupied for about three months.

* BURGLARY: Parkville District -- An undisclosed sum of money was stolen from the office at the Perring Bingo Hall in the Perring Parkway Shopping Center in the 2500 block of Cleanleigh Drive by someone who entered through a rear door yesterday morning. The burglary was discovered by police responding to a burglar alarm.

* STOLEN CARS: Towson District -- Two 1990 Acura Legends, each valued at $20,00, were stolen Wednesday from the parking lot at the Towson Town Center in the 800 block of Dulaney Valley Road. One car had Maryland license plates YEV518, the other had Maryland Chesapeake Bay plates 514ACC

* BURGLARY: Towson District -- Someone entered a house in the 1800 block of Wentworth Road Wednesday and stole jewelry, cash and coins, all valued at more than $1,300, from a strong box.
