Baltimore City

CUTTING: Western District -- A resident of the 3400 block of Redman Road in western Baltimore County was in the 1000 block of W. Baltimore St. Tuesday when a man with a knife cut him in the neck and escaped.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Police were seeking a man who cut a resident of the 1900 block of Mosher St. with a broken bottle during an argument in the 1900 block of W. Lafayette Ave. Tuesday. The victim was treated at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 700 block of W. Baltimore St. Tuesday and stole a gas stove, boots and a computer printer, all valued at more than $900.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered This Is It in the 1800 block of Walbrook Ave. Monday night or Tuesday morning and stole a pay telephone.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Tools of unknown value were stolen from Walbrook lumber in the 2600 block of Franklin St. Tuesday.

THEFT: Western District -- Two saws and a drill, all valued at

nearly $300, were stolen from a car in the 2000 block of W. Lexington St. Monday night or Tuesday morning.

BURGLARY: Eastern District -- Someone entered the K & L grocery store in the 1300 block of N. Broadway Monday night or Tuesday morning after breaking a pane of glass and removing some wall paneling; $100 in cash and an assortment of cigarettes were stolen.

ROBBERY: Eastern District -- Police were seeking a man who robbed a 31-year-old resident of the 900 block of Madeira St. of $50 in the 2500 block of Ashland Ave. Monday night.

BURGLARY: Eastern District -- A 19-inch TV, a remote control device, a VCR and a stereo tape deck were stolen from a house in the 2300 block of Barclay St. Monday night .

BURGLARY: Eastern District -- Someone entered B & J tax services in the 2600 block of E. Monument St. between May 25 and Tuesday through a rear door and stole property valued at more than $2,100.

BURGLARY: Eastern District -- Several credit cards were stolen from a house in the 1000 block of Rutland Ave. Monday night or Tuesday morning by someone who entered through a rear kitchen window.

BURGLARY: Eastern District -- Property valued at nearly $400 was stolen from a house in the 1300 block of Aisquith St. Monday night or Tuesday morning by someone who entered through a window.

ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A resident of the 1800 block of Henneman St. was in the 900 block of Rutland Ave. Tuesday night when a man shoved him to the pavement and stole his bike, valued at $50.

INFANT ASSAULTED: Eastern District -- Police were seeking a 22-year-old female resident of the 200 block of E. Lafayette Ave. in connection with the assault Tuesday night of a year-old child inside the child's home in the 1300 block of N. Eden St. The child was hit with a brick and slapped. Johns Hopkins Hospital said the victim was in good condition.

THEFT: Southern District -- A man entered a house in the 3000 block of Janice Ave. Tuesday night to use the telephone and left after taking $40 from a cookie jar. The man, who is known by the victim, was being sought.

THEFT: Southern District -- Someone entered the garage at Mount Auburn Cemetery in the 2600 block of Annapolis Road Tuesday night and stole a hand truck valued at $30.

THEFT: Southern District -- A wallet containing a small sum and a beeper were stolen from a car parked in the 1100 block of W. Ostend St. Tuesday night.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A lawn mower valued at more than $200 was stolen from a garage in the 4400 block of Eastway Monday morning.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Two TVs, a cordless telephone and a VCR, all valued at nearly $600, were stolen from a house in the 2400 block of Keyworth Ave. Monday.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Someone stole the license plate from a car parked in the 2300 block of Odell Ave. Tuesday morning. Later, police arrested a suspect in the case.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Two 18-speed bikes valued at nearly $300 were stolen Tuesday from the back yard of a house in the 4300 block of Berger Ave.

CHURCH BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone entered the Emmanuel Baptist Church in the 4400 block of Reisterstown Road between Sunday night and Tuesday morning through a window and stole a cassette recorder valued at $200.

STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A 1986 Pontiac with Maryland license plates AGA646 was stolen from the 3100 block of Denison St. Monday night or Tuesday morning.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 5800 block of Western Run Road through a window Monday and stole property valued at $600.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 2400 block of Allendale Road of her purse Monday night while she walked near her home.

Baltimore County

CAB HOLDUP: White Marsh District -- A driver for Overlea cab was at the intersection of Marquette and St. Regis roads about 10 p.m. Monday when a man he picked up earlier placed a hard object to the back of his head and robbed him of an undisclosed sum. The man then forced the cabbie from the vehicle and escaped on foot.

ROBBERY: Essex District -- A man with a knife robbed Gerardo's Lounge in the 1000 block of Old Eastern Ave. of an undisclosed sum Tuesday evening. After ordering a soft drink from the barmaid, the man pulled out a knife and told her to give him the contents of the cash register. The man escaped on foot.

BURGLARY: Essex District -- Someone entered a trailer home in the first block of Tamarac Trail Tuesday afternoon and stole a pair of roller blades valued at $100.
