Baltimore City

ASSAULT: Northern District -- A resident of the 2800 block of W. Garrison Ave. was walking near his home Monday night when someone fired several shots at him. The man was not hit, and the person who fired the weapon escaped.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1992 Honda with Maryland license plates CMC388 was stolen from the 4400 block of Falls Road Sunday night or Monday morning.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 2900 block of Rosalind Ave. Sunday night or Monday morning through a ground-level window and stole a video game, VCR, wool coat and other items, all valued at nearly $1,100.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the first block of Court Pleasant in eastern Baltimore County was in the 2600 block of Oswego Ave. Sunday night when he was attacked by a man who robbed him of a set of keys and some money.

THEFT: Northern District -- Tools valued at more than $500 were stolen from a car parked in the 1000 block of Upnor Road Monday night.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered Valley Composition in the 2600 block of Maryland Ave. through a basement door between May 4 and Monday and stole a radio, stereo speakers, and $50, all valued at $300.

THEFT: Northern District -- Welding equipment, two hammer drills and other property, all valued at more than $6,000, were stolen from separate job sites at the Baltimore Museum of Art in the first block of Art Museum Drive between May 4 and Monday.

STABBING/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a woman and charged her in the stabbing of a resident of the 2900 block of Parkwood Ave. The assault occurred during an argument in the 2300 block of Ruskin Ave. Sunday night. The victim, who was stabbed in the back, was in good condition at Liberty Medical Center.

SHOOTING: Western District -- A resident of the 1700 block of N. Appleton St. was in the 1900 block of McKean Ave. Monday when he was attacked by four men and shot in the leg. The men escaped, and the victim was listed in good condition at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

THEFT/ARREST: Western District -- Soft drinks worth $50 were stolen from a truck owned by the Pepsi Cola Co. while the vehicle was parked in the 2400 block of Francis St. Monday. A man was arrested and was being held pending charges.

ROBBERY: Western District -- An employee of United Sanitary Chemicals in the 1900 block of N. Howard St. was working in the 2200 block of Evergreen St. Monday evening when a gunman robbed him of cash and property, all valued at more than $400.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Property valued at $200 was stolen from a garage in the 3800 block of Garrison Blvd. between Sunday night and Monday morning by someone who used a tool to cut a lock.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 3900 block of Glen Ave. of his wallet and $5 in the 5900 block of Park Heights Ave. Monday afternoon.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone entered the Electronic Center in the 5200 block of Park Heights Ave. between June 5 and Monday through a third-floor window and stole property of unknown value.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Household fixtures valued at nearly $2,000 were stolen from a house in the 3500 block of Hayward Ave. between June 4 and Monday.

Baltimore County

STAND-OFF: Parkville District -- A man believed to be a Vietnam War veteran barricaded himself overnight in his home at the Perring Village Apartments in the 8500 block of Morven Road and refused to come out as police attempted to talk to him by telephone and loud speaker. The man's girlfriend was in the apartment earlier but fled unharmed. Reportedly armed with a handgun, the man was also drinking during the early stages of the incident which began shortly before 10 p.m. Monday. No shots were fired and police cautioned other residents to stay indoors.

BURGLARY: Parkville District -- Someone entered the Carney Crab House in the 2000 block of E. Joppa Road between 2:15 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. Sunday through a side window and stole an undisclosed sum, a watch valued at $1,600 and a belt valued at $50 from a safe.
