Activities for all ages planned at Piney Run Programs run through June

Piney Run Nature Center, 30 Martz Road, Eldersburg, has announced several programs for all ages for the rest of June. Registration is required and fees are noted where applicable.

* Sunday: Father's Day crafts at 4 p.m. for children in first grade and up. The cost is $3 for members and $4.50 for nonmembers.

* June 15: Grapevine bow for adults to make and decorate, at 7 p.m. The cost is $12 for members, $15 for nonmembers.

* June 16: Butterfly Fun for children 3 1/2 to 5 and a parent, to learn about butterflies and moths, 10 a.m. or 11:15 a.m. The cost is $2.50 for members, $3.50 for nonmembers.

* June 18: Family Campfire, an evening of old-fashioned fun and song for everyone at 7 p.m. Bring one flashlight per family.

* June 19: Woven Basket Bird House workshop for adults from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bring your own tools; all other materials are provided. The cost is $29 for members and $34 for nonmembers.

* June 22: "Bugs Don't Bug Me" for children in first through third grades, to take a hike in search of insects at 4 p.m. Meet near the entrance gate to the park.

* June 25: Story time with M.E. for preschoolers 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 at 10 a.m. The cost is $1 for members and $1.50 for nonmembers.

* June 27: Scarecrows for the Garden, for children in third through sixth grades at 2 p.m. Bring old clothes and a hat to make something to protect your garden. The cost is $4 for members and $6 for nonmembers.

* June 30: Learn how to fish at 6 p.m. Parents bring your children and a fishing pole if you have one and learn the basics of fishing. Meet on the grass hill by the boat docks.
