Police seek man who pointed gun into Gambrills bar

County police were looking yesterday for a man who apparently tried to break into a Gambrills bar shortly after it closed Sunday morning and pointed a gun at several of the employees.

According to police, a man threw a flower pot at the back door of Rafters Tavern in the 1500 block of Defense Highway at 2 a.m. and tried to smash the glass in the French doors.

Employees who were inside said they saw a man with a white stocking cap covering his face point a semiautomatic handgun at them.

One employee ran outside through another door and yelled at the man with the gun. The gunman ran from the parking lot.
