Anonymous tip leads police to dead man Cause of death is unknown

June 07, 1993

Police discovered the body of a man who appeared to be in his 30s lying face down in the woods beside a little-traveled road in Glen Burnie yesterday afternoon and were investigating his death as a homicide.

Investigators found the victim, whom they did not identify, about 5 p.m. on an access road that leads to Anne Arundel County government property across from the Home Depot store on East Ordnance Road, west of Blades Lane.

The man apparently had been dead three or four days. The cause of his death remained unknown last night, police said. County police said an anonymous tip prompted them to search for the body.

The body showed no signs of gunshot or stab wounds or other potentially fatal injuries, police said. Police described the man as a white male with brown hair and a mustache, wearing a blue polo shirt, jeans and white sneakers.

An autopsy is to be completed today.
