Accommodates 125 people standing, 50 seated. Available evenings only. Cost: $300 for groups of up to 25, $400 for groups over 25. Approved caterer only.

BALTIMORE GRAND, 401 W. Fayette St., (410) 727-5678. Contemporary building in downtown Baltimore. Contact: Alan Pressman. Reserve as soon as possible. The Chesapeake Ballroom accommodates 400 seated, 530 standing; the Loyola Ballroom accommodates 160 seated with dancing, 250 standing. Cost varies. In-house catering is available.

B&O RAILROAD MUSEUM, 901 W. Pratt St., (410) 752-2463. The birthplace of American railroading. Contact: Stacey Eagan. Reserve as far in advance as possible. Accommodates up to 950 seated, 2,400 standing. Available daily after 5 p.m. List of approved caterers available. Cost for basic rental: $2,100 for the first 200 guests, $6 per person over 200. Basic rental includes security, on-premises staffing and secure parking for 240 cars.

BALTIMORE MUSEUM OF ART, Art Museum Drive, (410) 396-6078. Contact: Denise Harper. Reserve three to six months in advance. Accommodates 520 seated, 1,000 standing. Available Wednesdays through Fridays 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays 7 p.m. until 1 a.m. List of suggested caterers available, others subject to museum's approval. Cost varies; average cost $5,000.

THE BALTIMORE ROWING AND WATER RESOURCE CENTER, 3301 Waterview Ave., (410) 396-3838. Situated on the Patapsco River. Contact: Grace Adams. Reserve six months in advance. Accommodates 115 seated, 250 standing. Caterers must be licensed and provide their own insurance. Cost: $600 for eight hours. Available evenings and weekends.

BOWLING BROOK COUNTRY INN, 6000 Middleburg RoadMiddleburg, (410) 876-2893. Nineteenth-century manor house on 225 acres. Contact: David Horner at Westminster Inn. Reserve as soon as possible. Accommodates 150 seated, 250 standing. No facility fee with use of Westminster Inn Caterers. Cost is approximately $20 per person and up. Outdoor wedding cost varies with tent rental fee.

BROOM HALL BED AND BREAKFAST, 2425 Pocock Road, Fallston, (410) 557-7321. Eighteenth-century inn. Contact: Carol O'Brien. Reserve up to a year in advance. Accommodates 25 sitting, 75 standing, 150 with use of outdoor tent. Cost ranges between $450 and $650 for a four-hour rental, depending on number of guests. List of suggested caterers available.

CARRIAGE HOUSE, Carroll Park, Washington Boulevard and South Monroe Street, (410) 837-3262. Part of Baltimore's oldest residence. Reserve as early as possible. Contact: Margaret Soble. Accommodates 100 seated, 200 standing. Available daily. p.m. curfew. Cost: $475 plus a $50 custodial fee.

CARROLL COUNTY FARM MUSEUM, 500 S. Center St., Westminster, (410) 848-7775. More than 140 acres with 19th-century gardens. Contact: Dottie Freeman. Reserve three months in advance. Accommodates 100 under a covered pavilion. Cost: $25 for pavilion rental and $3 per adult, $2 for 12- to 18-year-olds and those over 60. No charge for those under 12. Music and caterers subject to museum's approval. Alcohol prohibited.

CLOISTERS CHILDREN'S MUSEUM, 10440 Falls Road, (410) 823-2551. Former private residence built in the 1930s in the style of a European castle. Contact Laura Davis. Can be reserved one year in advance or sooner. Accommodates 80 seated, 175 standing. Available 6 p.m. to midnight every day of the week September to mid-June. List of suggested licensed caterers available. Cost: Mondays to Thursdays, $500; Fridays to Sundays, $700; plus a mandatory additional charge for two security guards. In the month of December, $700 for any day of the week.

DANIELLE'S BLUECREST, 401 Reisterstown Road, (410) 486-2100. Banquet hall with two rooms, the Ballroom and the Orchid Room. Contact: Danielle Mosse. Accommodates up to 700 seated, up to 1,200 standing. Available every day. Kosher menus are available. Cost: Lunch ranges from $18 to $25 per person, dinner from $20 to $30 per person.

EVERGREEN HOUSE, 4545 N. Charles St., (410) 516-0341. Authentic 1870s carriage house on 26 acres. Contact: Jane Katz. Reserve as soon as possible. Available daily. Accommodates 80 guests in the theater; 100 seated, 200 standing in the Carriage House. Cost: $1,400 for the theater; $1,100 for the house; $500 additional charge for garden use. Approved caterers and tent suppliers only. No smoking.

GENEVA FARM GOLF CLUB, 217 Davis Road, Street, (410) 879-3505. Constructed in 1990 from a 100-year-old barn. Contact: Francis Pieper. Accommodates 200 people seated with dancing. Available every day.
