18-year-olds charged with drug possession

County police charged two young men with possession of marijuana after a routine traffic stop Wednesday in Severna Park.

Police stopped a 1993 Mitsubishi shortly before 2 a.m. for traffic violations on Hartman Drive, the police report said. The officer smelled the odor of marijuana in the car, and the driver, Steven Christopher Haymon, had some marijuana on his clothing, the report said.

Police searched the car and found a small bag of marijuana and two plastic smoking devices, said the report.

Mr. Haymon, 18, of the 300 block of Overcup Court in Millersville, and his passenger James Christopher Blose, 18, of the 600 block of Kensington Ave., were also charged with possession of paraphernalia.
