THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered the police station at Riggs Avenue and Mount Street between May 22 and May 24 and stole 16 rounds of ammunition, a call box key and other pieces of police equipment from an officer's locker.

ARSON TRY/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a man who entered a house in the 200 block of N. Monroe St. Monday morning and attempted to set the dwelling on fire.

THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 1800 block of W. Fairmount Ave. Monday and stole a leather coat, TV and several pairs of slacks, all valued at more than $500. A 34-year-old woman was being sought.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Northern District -- Police arrested a man in the 700 block of Argonne Drive Monday morning shortly after he entered a house in the 400 block of Southway by breaking a window. The sound of breaking glass awakened the occupant who called the police.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 5500 block of Pimlico Road through an unlocked door and stole coins.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1986 Chevrolet Blazer with Maryland plates LSJ441 was stolen from the 700 block of McKewin Ave. over the weekend.

SHOOTING: Northern District -- A resident of the 3500 block of Old York Road was sitting on the front steps of his house Sunday night when several men walked past him. Moments later, someone in the group fired a handgun, striking the man in the left leg. The victim was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment. No arrest has been made.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the first block of W. University Parkway over the weekend by cutting a screen and stole a 16-inch 21-speed bike valued at more than $300.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1990 Infiniti with Maryland plates 107ADR was stolen from the 5700 block of Newberry Road Monday.

ARREST: Southeastern District -- Police arrested a man about 2 a.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of S. Mason Court and charged him with the attempted armed robbery of a resident of the 1700 block of E. Pratt St. outside a tavern in the 200 block of S. Broadway. Police said David Wallace, 22, of the 600 block of N. Carey St., also was charged with possession of crack cocaine.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- A 63-year-old resident of a high-rise apartment building in the 200 block of N. Broadway was walking near her home Tuesday afternoon when a man pushed her to the pavement and stole her purse containing $20.

BURGLARIES/ARREST: Southeastern District -- Police arrested two youths who entered the Price Rite market in the 1700 block of E. Lombard St. about 4 p.m. Monday. Three hours later, police responding to the same store arrested two different youths who broke in. All four teen-agers were released into the custody of their parents pending action by juvenile authorities.

ROBBERY: Garrison District -- A resident of the first block of Phlox Circle was walking near his home about 10 p.m. Tuesday when he was robbed of his wallet and an undisclosed sum by two men, one with a sharp object that he placed against the victim's back. Police said one of the men was wearing a white T-shirt with a likeness of Mickey Mouse on the front.

MURDER TRY/ARREST: Essex District -- A 22-year-old man was arrested Tuesday night after he allegedly threatened to kill his girlfriend's mother during an incident at the woman's home in the 500 block of Carrollwood Road. When the man tried to enter the house to talk to his girlfriend, the mother objected. The man then pulled out a .22-caliber handgun and pointed it at the mother. A family member grabbed the gun, causing it to discharge harmlessly. The man fled and was arrested several blocks away after discarding the gun in a woods. A dog trained to locate weapons found the gun. The man was being held at the station pending charges, police said.

ROBBERY: Parkville District -- Two men, one with a silver-colored handgun, robbed a resident of the 8400 block of Nunley Drive of his wallet and $30 as he walked near his home about 11 p.m. Tuesday.
