POLICE

* Westminster: A Tarentum, Pa., resident reported to police that someone entered his room at the Days Inn on Cranberry Road Friday and stole $350. There was no forced entry to the room.

A Timber Ridge resident told police someone scratched the side of her car while it was parked at Cranberry Mall on Saturday. She estimated the damage at $125.

A Sullivan Avenue resident said someone broke flower pots and stole floral containers on Sunday. She estimates the loss at $30.

Several articles valued at $29 were taken from the car of a Finksburg man while the car was parked at Fairground Village Shopping Center on Saturday.

A Pennsylvania Avenue resident told police someone used a pry tool in an attempt to gain entry to his garage on Thursday. He estimated the damage at $15.

FIRE

* Westminster: Westminster and Pleasant Valley responded to an automatic fire alarm on Business Parkway at 9:24 p.m. Monday. Units were out for 30 minutes.

Reese and Westminster responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding in a building on Washington Road at 11:14 p.m. Monday. Units were out for 45 minutes.
