Baysox win in 11, 6-5, over Tigers

LONDON, Ontario -- Edgar Alfonzo's sacrifice fly and Tim Holland's RBI single in the 11th inning lifted the Bowie Baysox past the London Tigers, 6-5, in a Double-A Eastern League game yesterday.

The Tigers (17-28) scored a run in the 11th to pull within 6-5. With two out, Bowie pitcher Rafael Chaves loaded the bases when he hit Brian Cornelius with a pitch. He then struck out Rudy Pemberton for the final out and his seventh save.

Bowie (24-18) took a 4-1 lead in the sixth, but London scored three in the seventh with two out to tie.

Erik Schullstrom (2-2) pitched 3 1/3 innings in relief for the win.
