Chicago Cubs -- Signed P Brent Woodall, OF Dwon Knighton, IF Anthony King and IF Ariel Martin to minor-league contracts.

Colorado Rockies -- Announced the retirement of OF Dale Murphy. Signed OF Kevin Ward and assigned him to Triple-A Colorado Springs.
