Baltimore City

OFFICER HURT/ARREST: Southern District -- Denise Wilkes, a plainclothes narcotics officer, was injured Thursday night when a motorist drove his car over her right foot as she approached him in the 4200 block of Thayer Court to get him to move his car, which was double parked. After identifying herself, the man drove off, running over Officer Wilkes' foot. Arrested a short distance away and charged with assaulting a police officer and eluding police was John M. Youngbar, 26, of the 5200 block of Wasena Ave., Brooklyn. Officer Wilkes was treated at Harbor Medical Center.

SHOOTING: Northwestern District -- An unidentified man was in the 3500 block of Virginia Ave. Thursday night when he heard several gunshots and fell to the pavement. The man was taken to Sinai Hospital for treatment of two gunshot wounds to the upper torso and was listed in serious but stable condition. No arrest had been made.

THEFT: Central District -- Property valued at nearly $400 was stolen from a car parked in the first block of E. Mulberry St. Thursday by someone who entered after breaking a window.

ARREST: Western District -- A man fleeing police trying to serve a warrant on him in an aggravated assault case was captured about 2 a.m. as he ran across the police station's parking lot. When police went to the home of Lateef Wallee, 40, of the 1100 block of N. Fulton Ave., Friday to arrest him on charges of assaulting a woman May 24, he jumped out a back window. Officer Thomas Anderson was injured when he fell while chasing the man. As the man ran through the station parking lot at Mount Street and Riggs Avenue, he was captured by Officer Jerry Tarud and other officers .

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Tools valued at nearly $200 werstolen from the conservatory at Druid Hill Park by someone who entered the building Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 2700 block of Mathews St. was knocked to the pavement and robbed of his wallet and $10 while he walked near his home Thursday.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the first block of Warrenton Road was in the 100 block of Hawthorne Ave. Thursday afternoon when a gunman robbed him of his watch and nearly $400.

ROBBERY/SHOOTING: Western District -- A resident of the 1500 block of E. 31st St. was in the 600 block of N. Carey St. Thursday night when a gunman robbed him of $45 and then shot him in the left leg. The victim was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center for treatment.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a man who entered a house in the 2800 block of Parkwood Ave. !B Thursday and stole a 19-inch TV valued at $250.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two gunmen forced their way into house in the 1700 block of Mosher St. looking for the occupant's brother Thursday night, then robbed several people who were there.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered the 77 Carryout in the 900 block of Harlem Ave. through a rear door Thursday and stole nearly 300 packs of cigarettes and several containers of candy, all valued at nearly $800.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY:Garrison District -- A gunman robbed Norwill liquors in the 10500 block of Reisterstown Road in Owings Mills of an undisclosed sum shortly before 10 p.m.Thursday. After the man walked around the store for a few minutes, he removed a handgun from his waistband and approached the counter. He told an employee to get on the floor. The man then waved the weapon in the face of another employee and ordered her to remove money from the cash register. The man walked out of the store and drove off. A short time later, said Officer Matthew Walsh, the female employee fainted and was taken to Baltimore County General Hospital.

BANK ROBBERY: White Marsh District -- A man who implied he had a gun robbed the First National Bank of Maryland in the 8300 block of Pulaski Highway of an undisclosed sum Thursday. The man entered the bank at 11:30 a.m. and gave a teller a note demanding money and warning her not to put an exploding dye pack in with the cash. The teller complied and the man escaped on foot.

HARFORD COUNTY

DRUG ARREST:Edgewood -- A Longwood, Fla., man was arrested Thursday night following a traffic stop and charged with possession of marijuana. Trooper John Wilson spotted a 1993 Ford pickup truck weaving from lane to lane on Route 40 about 9:20 p.m. and pulled the vehicle over. A search of the truck revealed marijuana and four capsules, police said. Charged with possession of marijuana and being held in the county's detention center was Thomas A. Farris, 28.

AUTO THEFT TRY: Abingdon -- Someone tried to steal a 1985 Toyota 4-wheel drive vehicle from the 100 block of Edith Stone Drive Thursday night but failed to get it started. At least $300 damage was done to the steering column.
