Train victim is Elkridge man

Elkridge resident Jesse Edward Albright was struck by a slow-moving train Wednesday as he walked along the railroad tracks near Woodstock Road, police said.

According to the train's engineer, Mr. Albright, 38, of the 5700 block of Old Landing Road, made no attempt to avoid the train, police said.

The train was traveling at 25 miles an hour when it struck Mr. Albright, throwing him about 25 feet from the tracks, police said.

Mr. Albright was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center where he is listed in serious but stable condition.
