POLICE

* Westminster: Property was stolen in two break-ins on Airport Drive Saturday, city police were told.

Donald Moyer, an employee of W.R.E. Wright Associates, and John Dudderar, an employee at the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, reported to authorities that the value of the losses was unknown.

Stereo equipment valued at almost $2,500 was stolen from a locked automobile on Pennsylvania Avenue on Monday. The car was parked near his home. Police said the home stereo system, a leather jacket, a radar detector and compact discs were taken. There were no suspects.

FIRE

* Westminster: Emergency crews from Westminster and Manchester were dispatched for a stuck elevator on North Center Street at 7:16 p.m. on Tuesday. They were out for nine minutes.

A large trash container on North Center Street erupted in flames at 11:46 p.m. Tuesday. Westminster firefighters extinguished the blaze in 22 minutes.
