Peter D. Yedinak, a professor of physics who taught at Western Maryland College from 1967 until last fall, died Monday of cancer at Stella Maris Hospice.
Dr. Yedinak was 54 and lived in Eldersburg.
He was a member of the college's pre-medical committee, and he also taught the history of science and general science courses.
He was a consultant to the Army in his early days at Western Maryland.
A native of Bath, N.Y., he earned his bachelor's degree at Union College in Schenectady, N.Y., and his master's and doctorate at Clark University in Worcester, Mass.
