* TIGERS: Tony Phillips has started at six positions for the Tigers this season. He's played all three outfield positions, third base, second base and been the designated hitter. In the three-game series against the Brewers, Phillips was 7-for-16 with four runs scored and five RBI. . . . Not only was it the Tigers' first sweep of the Brewers since 1984, it was Detroit's first series victory over Milwaukee since 1989. . . . The Tigers have won eight of their past 10 and are 11 games over .500 for the first time since August 1991.

* TWINS: Minnesota has been outscored 51-8 in the seventh inning. . . . Minnesota pitchers have a 6.33 home ERA and have allowed 26 homers at the Metrodome. The Twins have allowed 10 runs or more in three of their past four games.
