RAPE: Southwestern District -- Police were seeking a 24-year-old man who raped a woman in the 4800 block of Frederick Road Tuesday night. The woman was taken to Mercy Medical Center for treatment.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A VCR valued at $200 was stolen from an apartment in the 200 block of Atholgate Lane Tuesday.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 3600 block of Edmondson Ave. Wednesday and stole a VCR and movie tapes, all valued at nearly $200.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Nearly $4,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from a house in the 2700 block of Wilkens Ave. Wednesday.

THEFT/ARREST: Eastern District -- A man was arrested Tuesday night when he attempted to leave the Farm Fresh store in the 900 block of N. Caroline St. without paying for two cases of baby formula valued at $63. Charged with theft was Darryl Cook, 33, of the 3000 block of Poplar Terrace.

CAB HOLDUP: Western District -- After picking up a fare in the 2000 block of W. Baltimore St. shortly after 2 a.m. Wednesday, a Diamond cab driver was told to drive to the 100 block of N. Bentalou St. There, the passenger pulled out a handgun and robbed the cabbie of $60 .

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 200 block of N. Carey St. of jewelry valued at nearly $200 in the 800 block of W. Saratoga St. Wednesday.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered the Nock Supply Co. in the 2200 block of Pennsylvania Ave. through a hole in a rear wall Wednesday . It was not immediately known if any property was stolen.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A TV, stereo equipment and a VCR, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen from a house in the 2600 block of Francis St. Wednesday.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- A man entered Dolfield Confectionery in the 3600 block of Dolfield Ave. Wednesday and stole food items valued at nearly $68.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 1700 block of N. Bond St. was walking in the 3000 block of Reisterstown Road Wednesday afternoon when a gunman robbed him of $31.

THEFT/ARREST: Northwestern District -- Police arrested a man who attempted to leave Woolworth's department store in the 6500 block of Reisterstown Road Wednesday without paying for property valued at less than $10.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- Someone entered the back yard of a house in the 4500 block of Pimlico Road Wednesday evening and stole a bike valued at $100.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Property valued at nearly $2,000 was stolen from a house in the 4400 block of Pimlico

Road Tuesday by someone who entered through a rear door.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone entered Louis' Produce in the 1900 block of Birch St., Wednesday by removing an air conditioner from a window and stole two TVs valued at nearly $400.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- A VCR and a telephone, all valued at more than $300, were stolen from a house in the 900 block of W. Lombard St. Wednesday by someone who entered through a window.

Baltimore County

THEFT: Parkville District -- Two original paintings by Roland Perry and reportedly valued at $125,000 were stolen from a home in the 12800 block of Long Green Pike. The paintings, "Original of Roses" and "Mrs. Cole as a Child," were reported missing Wednesday by Christine Cole, 57, after she discovered the theft of a chain saw on her property.
