Deale man charged in slashing at bar

A 42-year-old Deale man was charged with assault in the knife slashing of another man early Monday during an argument over a woman outside a bar in Deale, county police said yesterday.

The victim, Michael Wayne Jones, 28, of Chesapeake Beach was treated and released from Anne Arundel Medical Center after receiving stitches for a small cut on the right side of his chest, police said.

Police said the fight broke out outside the Happy Harbor Inn on Rockhold Creek about 2 a.m.
