Pirates top Suns, 9-6, in 13th inning

HAGERSTOWN -- The Augusta Pirates scored three runs in the top of the 13th inning to beat the Hagerstown Suns, 9-6, yesterday in a South Atlantic League game at Municipal Stadium.

Reed Secrist scored the winning run for the Pirates (17-20) off an RBI double by Shon Walker. Augusta scored the other two runs on errors.

Hagerstown (21-16) held a 6-2 lead after seven innings, before Augusta scored four runs in the eighth. Dario Tina scored off of Trey Beamon's sacrifice fly to tie the score at 6.

Jose Sosa (2-3) pitched four innings giving up one hit and two walks for the win. Ken Robinson (0-3), who pitched the 12th and 13th innings, was the losing pitcher for the Suns.
