Through Sept. 26: Chesapeake Changes, a natural history exhibit that focuses on the geology, geography, wildlife and human settlement in the 64,000-square mile watershed of the bay, Explorers Hall of the National Geographic Society, 17 and M streets NW, Washington, D.C.

FISHING

Tuesday: DNR public meeting to discuss proposed changes in non-tidal fishing regulations, Sweadner Hall, Frederick Community College, Frederick, 7 p.m.

Wednesday: DNR public meeting to discuss changes in non-tidal fishing regulations being considered for 1994, Natural Resources Police meeting room, Routes 309 and 404, Queen Anne, Queen Anne's County, 7 p.m.

Thursday: Meeting of Potomac-Patuxent Chapter of Trout Unlimited, 125 Heurich Road, Wheaton, 7:30 p.m. Newell Steele will speak on suburban Potomac River smallmouth bass fishing.

Friday-Saturday: Maryland B.A.S.S. Federation S.Q.T. event on Potomac River.

Saturday: First Cox's Point Invitational Carp Shoot and Fishing Contest, sponsored by Maryland Bowhunters Society and Essex Recreation and Parks Council, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

HUNTING/SHOOTING

Today: Ducks Unlimited Dick Fetzer Fun Shoot, Loch Raven Trap and Skeet Club, Dulaney Valley Road, 11 a.m. Quail walk, simulated teal and dove shoot.
