Didio, South Carroll stun Centennial, 10-7 Girls lacrosse

Tracie Didio scored four goals as No. 4 seed South Carroll (8-5) upset No. 1 seed Centennial, 10-7, yesterday in a Class 4A-3A, Region I semifinal. Paige Nettelbladt led Centennial (11-3) with three goals. Goalie Erin Nauyalis had 22 saves for South Carroll.

* North County 11, Franklin 9: Michelle Dillow scored both of her goals in overtime to lead North County past Franklin in Class 4A-3A, Region II semifinal action. Jamie Darr and Bethany Fromm scored four goals each for Franklin.

* Mount Hebron 29, Glenelg 8: Attackman Cathy Nelson had eight goals and one assist to lead No. 1 seed and No. 1-ranked Mount Hebron (15-0) past Glenelg in a Class 2A-1A, Region I semifinal. Charlotte Cockrell led Glenelg with four goals.

* Towson 16, Owings Mills 8: Karen siwinski had four goals and two assists to lead No. 1 seed Towson (9-3) past visiting fourth seed Owings Mills in a Class 2A-1A Region IV semifinal. Caroline Jones added three goals and two assists for the Generals.

* Hereford 11, Hammond 10: Alex Parker and Carley Goertz sored two goals each to lead Hereford (6-6) past Hammond in a Class 2A-1A, Region II semifinal.

* Southern-AA 8, Pikesville 6: Kari Sherbert scored three goals to lead No. 3 seed Southern-AA past No. 2 seed Pikesville in Class 2A-1A, Region IV action. Jamie Robbins scored two for Pikesville.

* Fallston 17, Joppatowne 11: Senior defender Cindy Jenkins and freshman attacker Anne West each scored, leading No. 1 seed Fallston (9-2) over Joppatowne, in a Class 2A-1A, Region III semifinal contest. Krissy Battenfeld, Kathleen Turk, Courtney Benner each added a pair of goals for Fallston.

* Perry Hall 14, Parkville 7: Kerri Johnson had seven goals and one assist as host and No. 1 seed Perry Hall (12-2) defeated No. 4 seed Parkville in a Class 4A-3A, Region III semifinal.

* Dulaney 17, Woodlawn 5: Aimee Vaughan had five goals and one assist as No. 2 seed Dulaney (9-3) defeated visiting and No. 3 seed Woodlawn in a Class 4A-3A, Region II semifinal.

* Westminster 11, Catonsville 9: Tina Houck, Anita Naganna and Tiffany Weal scored two goals each as No. 3 seed Westminster (8-5) defeated host and No. 2 seed Catonsville (7-4) in a Class 4A-3A, Region I semifinal.

* Overlea 10, North Harford 8: No. 3 seed Overlea scored eight goals in the second half to come from behind and beat No. 2 seed North Harford in a Class 2A-1A, Region III semifinal at Harford Community College.

* Loch Raven 23, Sparrows Point 6: Senior attackman Michele DeJuliis led all scorers with six goals as No. 2 Loch Raven (15-0) easily handled Sparrows Point in a Baltimore County Class 2A-1A, Region II game. Lauren Volk, Anne Heine and Mary Edwards each scored three for the Raiders.
